We aim for not only unparalleled wildlife encounters, but also unique insight and knowledge into the ways and workings of the land, the people, the culture and the environment. We believe if one never communicates with the local people the country will remain a mystery. The personal interest and well-being of each traveler is important, and with a maximum group size of 6 people this allows for a more flexible and accommodating journey.

Cultural Arts of Cuba

January 8 – 15, 2025

$4,995

Join me in Havana and Trinidad on a trip that features the music, dance, and art of Cuba. Small island – huge talents!

Havana is painted in a Caribbean palate, yet the washed, pale colors of the past surround us. Havana is a place where one expects to see a uniformed revolutionary leaning in a doorway, Cohiba in hand.  Many stories to tell!

With colonial and baroque architecture, the city is both a beautiful renovation and a decaying elegance. Cuba is sensual and sexy, her people strong, smiling and complex.  Through intimate conversations with artisans and many lively presentations, we open the door to a richer understanding of  Cuban tradition and lifestyle.

From dancers and Jazz musicians, to painters and historians, photographers and organic farmers, and professional chefs to coffee growers, we experience it all!  Cuban classic cars and Hemmingway are just the start of knowing Cuba and its unique cultural landscape.

Egypt is most certainly a fascination for all travelers. From the lure of the Nile to the massive vistas of the desert, mystery prevails. Set back thousands of years in time, the many treasures of ancient Egypt are visually immense.

The celebrated Pyramids of Giza and the paradox of the giant Sphinx reflect the beginning of the adventure. The quest for eternity and the passage to the afterlife shape the grand tombs and sinuous temples of Luxor and the colorful hieroglyphs in the valley of the Kings and Queens.

As we venture through the land of the pharaohs we are escorted by brilliant private Egyptologist guides who help us grasp the vastness of what is before us, Ancient Egypt.

Perfect Paris:

As we venture out of our boutique hotel there are many surprises each day. Partnering with David Lallement, French born and an expert on French wines, we together are offering a most unique visit through the City of Light!

The vibrant food scene is everywhere from bustling local markets, pastry shops and artisanal cheese samplings. We will experience crisp glasses of Beaujolais in small cafes and Champagne tastings alone the Seine.

Capturing the amazing examples of Paris architecture is prominent, along the Seine, The Paris Opera House and the Louis Vuitton Foundation building as a selection.

Picturesque Burgundy:

September brings the excitement of the  grape harvest throughout the region. Private wine and food tastings are in the making within the handsome hill villages of Dijon and Beaune. Burgundy is famous for velvety reds and aromatic whites with rib-eye beef and famous Dijon mustard, truffles and Escargots de Bourgogne!

Lively street scenes, farmers markets, UNESCO Heritage sights, mustard fields and black current liqueur are all in our view.

Provocative Provence:

No one is in a rush here.

We explore Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Arles. These areas are famous for Roman ruins, master painters, and stunning scenery. Under bright blue skies culinary pleasures are everywhere. We sample wines from family -run wineries, eat in Michelin stared restaurants and quaint cafes. There are olive oil tastings with fresh French breads set in a small chateau setting.

The streets are narrow and picturesque and the people friendly.
